We have had our White Mountain Ice Cream freezer for decades. Of course you provide the "power" by hand cranking, but kids love to do this. The canister is bigger than other ice cream makers, so there is enough for crowd. Great for family gatherings and bar-b-ques. The parts are nearly indestructible, but just in case, it is good to know that this company has been making this machine for generations so you can always get parts. We have 2 canisters so we can make and store 2 flavors quicker.

I've used this machine for the last two years and have NEVER had a problem. The only drawback is that you must use your own "muscle power" to churn the ice cream. We've taken turns. The workout you get from churning can be used as your excuse for eating the ice cream! :) I love it!
